The Safe & Sound Teacher is responsible for leading classroom operations and day-to-day activities.

Job Responsibilities

Create and Implement Curriculum: Design and implement engaging and age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in areas such as social skills, language, and motor development.
Lead and Supervise: Supervise and guide a team of assistant teachers, providing support, training, and mentorship to ensure best practices are followed.
Child Development: Observe and assess children’s progress and development, providing feedback to parents, caregivers, and management as needed.
Ensure Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment. Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are followed.

Performance Expectations

Build Positive Relationships: Develop strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, ensuring open communication and a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Behavior Management: Implement positive behavior management techniques to encourage positive social interactions, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
Compliance: Adhere to all licensing and regulatory requirements, ensuring the daycare center is in full compliance with state and federal regulations.
Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with parents, staff, and management regarding daily activities, milestones, and concerns.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Management team

Qualifications

Education CDA, associate's degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have knowledge of child development, strong teamwork and communication skills, a nurturing approach, meet licensing and background requirements, and hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
